1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Big4Resume (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

2. What Big4Resume Does

Big4Resume helps Big 4 and finance professionals estimate their market value and build resumes using a combination of recruiter data, public benchmarks, and AI. Compensation ranges, career recommendations, and AI-generated resume content are provided for informational purposes to help you make your own decisions.

3. Estimates, Not Guarantees

Compensation ranges and next-role targets are estimates based on available data at the time of your assessment — not offers, promises, or guarantees of any particular salary, bonus, role, or outcome. Actual compensation depends on factors outside our control, including negotiation, performance, timing, and market conditions. The Service is not a substitute for personalized legal, financial, or career advice. See our Methodology for how ranges are produced and their limitations.

4. Your Content

• Accuracy: You are responsible for the information you provide. Enter accurate details so your results and resume are useful to you.
• Your rights: You retain ownership of the resume content you create. You grant us the limited right to process it solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to generate and format your resume).
• Uploaded files: If you upload an existing resume, it is processed in memory to pre-fill the builder and is not stored — see our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or false in a way intended to deceive others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its software, design, and underlying data models — is owned by Big4Resume and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary data beyond using the Service as intended.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate will match a real-world outcome.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Big4Resume and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, opportunities, or compensation, arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
